Conformity
Armoloy conforms exactly to the base metal surface. All threads, flutes, even scratches are reproduced in detail. RMS finish will improve slightly, to a low of about 8 RMS.
Below 4 RMS the process may deter slightly. Internal and external surfaces on nearly all shapes and configurations can be uniformly processed. In general, slots or grooves less than .187 wide, having a depth greater than width, and bores less than .187 in diameter may not be uniformly processed. (Such parts should be submitted for test runs).
The finished Armoloy coating surface will have excellent lubricity qualities.
