Resistance
Armoloy resists attack by most organic and inorganic compounds (except sulfuric and hydrochloric acids). Porosity of base metals and imperfect surface finishes can affect the corrosion-resistant properties of Armoloy. However, all base materials that are Armoloy coated will be enhanced.

Armoloy will withstand temperatures of -400ºF to 1800ºF. At elevated temperatures above 1600ºF it will react with carbon monoxide, sulfur vapor and phosphorus. At bright red heat oxidation occurs in steam or alkali hydroxide atmospheres. Hardness and wear resistance will be reduced, to some degree, at temperatures above 1600ºF.
