Special Properties
Armoloy will not chip, flake, crack, peel or sperate from the base material under standard ASTM bend tests or under condition of extreme heat or cold. Armoloy, being compatible with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, allows maximum design selection of base materials. Aluminum, magnesium and titanium are not considered good candidates for base material selection.

Armoloy has an equivalent hardness in excess of 70 Rc when deposited. Measured by conventional micro-hardness methods, the host material will modify this measurement to some small degree. Vickers Diamond measurements produce a 1020-1100 hardness rating.
